Picture yourself on Poptropica
When you travel somewhere, the best way to remember your trip is by taking photos. The same is true when you journey into Poptropica.
Ever since we launched the Photo Album feature last year as part of Poptropica Friends, we’ve been adding four new photos to every Island. At this point, there are 133 unique photos that you can collect, simply by playing through each Island!
But Poptropica photos are even better than the ones you take on vacation, because you can actually costumize off of what you were wearing in each one. The same is true when you look through your friends’ photo albums!
If you haven’t opened your photo album for awhile, take look — you might be surprised at what you find.

Well, my birthday is in 2 days.
And my BFF in real life and I are going to hang out tomorrow to celebrate.
By the way, I might clear up my page for pictures…

Calm Feather: *runs away from Magic Tiger* *stops when far enough away* Phew… That was close… *looks up* Wait… Where am I…?
CF: [thinking] I didn’t realize I ran inside of a cave… And since there’s people on this beach I probably shouldn’t go back out… Might as well explore. *takes out flashlight & walks deeper into cave*

(MEANWHILE…)
Icy Shadow: *is swimming in ocean with her mom* Hey, Mom, is it okay if I explore further down the beach?
Icy Shadow’s Mom: Sure, just don’t be too long. We have to leave at 4:30, remember?
IS: Okay, thanks! 
*gets out of water & puts towel over shoulders & starts walking down beach*

Magic Tiger: *is walking down beach* [kind of muttering/whispering] I wonder who that guy was… *sees IS walking towards her*
IS: *notices MT* Hi :3. *kepps walking*
MT: Hi– Hey, wait!
Is: *turns around* What?
MT: Have you seen a guy wearing jeans, lightning bolt T-shirt, black jacket, hat, carrying a small bag?
IS: *thinks for a moment* No, I don’t think so. Why?
MT: I said hi to him and he ran away pretty freaked out. I want to find him to ask him what that was all about.
IS: Huh… Well, I was going to explore the beach. You wanna look for him?
MT: Sure…!
IS: So, where did you see him?
MT: *leads IS over to rock* Over here.
IS: There are some footprints here…
*IS & MT follow footprints*
(AFTER A LITTLE WHILE…)
MT: *looks up* Huh… Looks like they into this cave…
IS: Should we go in?
MT: I guess so. *walks into cave with IS*

CF: [thinking] I wonder where this cave even leads… *keeps walking* *sees green light & stops* ([out loud BTW]) What the…?

MT: *is walking in cave w/ IS* It’s so dark in here!
IS: I think I see a light…
MT: Really?
IS: Yeah… Wait– Two lights! One’s kind of yellowish and one’s… Green???

CF: *approaches green light slowly* What is this thing…?
* green light is glowing light coming from top of stone table thingey*

MT & IS: *get closer to green light* *sees what it is* What the…?
Random Voice: Huh…?..! AHHH!!!!!!!

Someone Is kind Of Nostalgic About Poptropica Like Me

We received a lovely letter from a Poptropican named Loud Feather that we had to share.
A LAMENT TO THE 32 ISLANDS
Over the last few days, I have been going over all the last few Poptropican Islands. It is strange to think that once there was only one island; and that less than four years ago, there were only EIGHT!
Sometimes we forget about these old islands. They are just figures of the past, unwanted, and used. But really, they are more than that. They are milestones of Poptropica.
We should take the time from now until when the 33rd island comes out to celebrate, and decide, once and for all… WHICH IS THE BEST ISLAND IN POPTROPICA?
Obviously, everyone has different opinions.
MILESTONES
Here are some milestones of Poptropica:
2007, EARLY POPTROPICA: Early Poptropica, the first island ever, was created.
2008, ASTRO KNIGHTS: The first “boss battle” scenes ever! Also, Astro Knights is one of the oldest islands, but one of the hardest and most popular!
2010, SKULLDUGGERY: The longest island TO DATE. It is an extremely popular island and is regarded to some as the hardest island on Poptropica.
2010, THE DAILY POP: All of Poptropica was closed down in late 2010 for repairs. No one knew exactly what was going on, until… it RE-OPENED: with a new format! Your own Poptropican homepage, the Daily Pop, a new saving system and a great new store came out.
2012, POPTROPICA FRIENDS: Poptropica gained a new activity: friending. Now, you can become friends with other people, start Multiverse codes with them, and see what they’ve been up to.
2012, SUPER VILLAIN: The 30th Island came out on Poptropica… with characters from other islands! In Reality TV (2009-10), you could go on a TV Show with them, but in Super Villain, you could actually go into their dreams and find out why they were so evil: giving a terrific back-story to Poptropica.
2013, ZOMBERRY: Yep, the 32nd island is out, and, well, let’s just say that in the past six years, Poptropica got a whole lot better!

Let the Games begin to end
If it’s true what they say, then the Poptropolis Games will sink in about two days. That’s not a lot of time left to try to win the championship for your tribe!
Earning a gold medal isn’t the only way to celebrate the Games, though. There are also a couple of Poptropolis Games-themed items available in the Poptropica Store — like the Plant-A-Statue power, which lets you bring a little bit of the Games to any Island.

Right up until the last minute, we hoped it was a rumor. But it happened — the Poptropolis Games have returned to the seas from whence they came.
Will the Poptropolis Games ever come back to the surface? Let’s hope so!

This just in: Poptropolis Games will sink!
After all the rumors and speculation, it looks like it’s confirmed. Here’s the news we just received:

JANUARY 18, 2013 – Mews Foundation seismologists have confirmed the unthinkable: Poptropolis Games is on the verge of sinking back into the ocean. As the Island’s shaking intensifies, it seems clear that it will slip entirely beneath the surface of the Poptropica Sea by January 24. “We’re doing our best to accommodate as many athletes as possible before we sink,” said the Games’ master of ceremonies. “Be we recommend anyone who wants to compete does so as soon as possible. Who knows if the Games will ever rise again?”

White Amory Wolf sat on the porch of her new home at the edge of Spy Island where she lived with her best friends; Clean Elizabeth Tornado, Striped Lilly Banana, Neat Bella Coyote, and Massive Jody Singer. They had a neighbor named Young Zoe Fang. She was quite… interesting. She would check on the 5 every 2 hours. In fact, she approached the house right as White was getting up to go back inside.
“Hello!” said Young.
“Oh,” White said with surprise. “Um, hi, Young! I was just about to go inside but I can stay out for a minute or two.”
“This will only take but a second!” The neighbor of interest reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a knife and a piece of paper with writing on it. She stood on the porch and pointed the knife at White’s neck. “Listen, you little b*tch…”
White took a big gulp. She stared at the knife. Young started to speak with a quiet evil voice.
“This is the knife I will kill you and your friends with if you don’t do what it says on the note. You have a week to complete it.”
She handed White the note and walked back to her house. White ran into her house and went straight to her room and locked it. She closed the blinds and stared at the paper that enclosed the writing that will save her and her friends’ lives. She breathed heavy as she read what was engraved onto the flimsy script.
The note read:
“Dear White Amory Wolf,
You have exactly a week to complete this. If you fail to succeed this mission, you and your friends will be murdered. Nobody will know. Now, complete the following:
1. Kill Jumpy Matthew Bee
2. Sink a cruise ship named “S.S Neat Rose Ice”
3. Kill Cuddly Coyote
4. Kill Fierce Star
5. Sacrifice the most important person to you or yourself
If you do not complete this by the deadline you will perish along with your friends. Best of luck.

Young Zoe Fang”
White’s heart sunk. She could never do anything on this list. And if she survived, she would live with a shame that will haunt her for the rest of her life. She stood up and packed her backpack and duffel bag with things she would need; clothes, food, and weapons. She cringed as she finished packing in the last weapon, a machete with dry blood. She walked down stairs and once she entered the living room, she didn’t see her friends. The house was a mess. She found a note on the coffee table. There was only 5 words.
“I HAVE YOUR FRIENDS.
~Zoe”
The words were written with a blue ink. It was fading out as the writer wrote her signature. White immediately knew who wrote it. If you don’t know, your brain is the size of a pea. It’s her neighbor who is threatening her and her friends. She gasped. She had to finish the mission soon. She had to do research so she grabbed her tablet that was produced by the spy company.
She walked out as the dark night sparkled with stars. She thought about what would happen if she was killed. All White could think of was chaos. The world filled with barely any humans left. Fire scratching out houses by the millions. The air filled with a gray smoke. It would be terrible. She to do this. She cared about the world. She immediately ran to the park and sat on a bench. She looked on her tablet for where this Jumpy Matthew Bee was. He was on Ghost Story Island. That island is only 1 hour away.. It would take a while to find his house. she thought
She climbed into her yellow blimp and set off for the search of the Mr. Bee.
